New doors are awesome – very happy. Looks very professional.
Description of work:
Had five huge sliding glass doors replaced and one window. House very vertical, built in 1986 – new windows replaced single pane sliders.
Description of Work:
The job included a complete remodel of a 3 bedroom 1947 house in great need of updating & repair. They completely gutted & remodeled the kitchen & 3 bathrooms, refinished hardwood floors, new patio cover, concrete work & gazebo for jacuzzi, central heat & air, all new windows, custom cabinets, tile work & granite, all new electric box and wiring, complete restucco & paint for exterior, & complete paint inside including up to 4 colors per room. In short, a competely new house. The painters really prepped, often sanding down to bare wood, the tile work & cabinets are extrordinary, we couldn’t be happier. What ever came up Tony made sure it was taken care of. He was on time & on budget. We interviewed 7 contractors before meeting Tony & signed with him the first day he came over. He was obviously the right guy for us. He took responsibility for everything.

Description of Work:
I had a very large hillside deck which was very old and needed to be replaced. Tony came out and determined that I could leave some of the support structures in place and replace all other areas. I also needed to have a fence and gate on the side of my house replaced. Based on the recommendations from this site and meeting Tony in person, I felt very confident that this was the right company to do the job. Tony ended up having to replace more of the support beams then he originally thought, but did not increase his price for this additional work.

Any errors in the drilling and insertion could have damaged the moulding. They had to do this to approximately 100 blocks throughout the house.
Description of Work:
Nexxus replaced a failing retaining wall, a cracked driveway, and front steps that were steep, dangerous, and not up to code. They built much more substantial walls with a proper, industrial-grade concrete foundation and rebar supports, replaced the driveway, and built custom steps that are much safer and more usable than the old ones were. They used high-quality materials, were extremely fast and neat, and did a first-rate job. The result is very attractive and a great improvement to the property.

They did two jobs. They first plastered and painted a whole in the ceiling as the result of water damage. For the second job, they did some carpentry work which involved replacing wood steps in the basement.

Nexxus Remodeling did Wrought Iron work and Electrical work for us. We wanted to replace an existing 15 foot wood gate with a custom designed wrought iron 2 leaf swing gate with electrical motors to automate opening and closing, and a custom designed pedestrian gate. Nexxus Remodeling had our gates custom made, had all the new electrical run to the location of the motors (approx 200 feet of new line had to be run from the house up to where the gate is located) and had the motors installed on custom support stands. Gate was a special install as the location is on an incline and special brackets had to be fabricated so the gates would close without a gap.
Description of Work:
I called for an estimate, and after a lengthly discussion about the job, they missed the appointment. They tried to reschedule once, but weren’t flexible with the time. Then I never heard from the contractor again.

Description of Work:
We needed patchwork and repainting to be done in three areas in the interior of the house and one area on the exterior.
Description of Work:
We hired Nexxus for some general construction – to knock out two walls in our house. They took out the wall between our bedroom and living room, and between our kitchen and living room, and they were quick, professional and did a beautiful job. They did the demo on the walls and then built them anew with headers to support the newly opened space. Tony’s guys (Zion and Rafael – excellent, both of them) upgraded the electrical in a couple places, and put up new drywall, as well as repaired pre-existing. We are extremely pleased with the work they did – plus, they’re just really nice guys.
Description of Work:
I had a variety of services completed; my wood floors needed to be repaired, a door & window needed to be replaced & installed, windows needed lots of work, interior & exterior painting & plaster, custom cabinetry needed to be built to match existing.
Description of Work:
Two months ago, I moved into a 1940s-era house that’s long on charm but woefully short on storage space. The kitchen had exactly 2 drawers, which wasn’t anywhere near enough for spatulas, stirring spoons, hot pads and the 1,001 other tools any cook or baker wants at hand. Fortunately, there was a roughly two-foot-wide, floor-to-ceiling space that would accommodate a unit with drawers, shelves or both. Tony Panterra of Nexxus had his crew build a unit to fit seamlessly into the existing cabinetry – so much so that even my regular visitors don’t notice until I explicitly point it out to them.
Description of Work:
Complete bathroom remodel, with custom tile walls and floor, granite countertop and custom cabinet; kitchen remodel with custom cabinets and granite counters; full electrical upgrade; recessed lighting throughout house; hardware floors throughout house; two big decks repaired and rebuilt; complete painting outside and inside; new roof; central air and heat; installation of two windows; custom entertainment center/media room cabinets; plumbing upgrade in master shower; two skylight replacements; tile floor; door rehanging and reframing; installation of all appliances in the kitchen; carpentary moldings. Phew.
Description of Work:
Installation of concrete flooring. Installation of wrought iron door. Installation of exhaust fan. Re-route of electrical connection. Re-hanging of door. Granite counter top repair. Minor kitchen plumbing. Interior painting.
Description of Work:
This was my experience getting an estimate from Tony: I initially asked for a quote for painting, but after a quick conversation, I got a quote for getting a bunch of work done that we’re considering — new roof, hardwood floors and paint. Based on what other roofers told me as well as other hardwood floor guys, Tony did not give me accurate information about some of the reasons repair work was needed — for example, blaming cracked floors on liquid damage when in reality it’s because the floors were refinished too many times and they’re too thin. He was a very aggressive salesman and made me incredibly anxious. Also, I told him our rough budget and he kept trying to push me over it. This is definitely not my style and made me think he still thinks it’s 2005 and I would have no problem pulling equity out of my home to complete his vision. I appreciate his thoroughness and the time he took, but it was a very stressful experience and I would never use him as a contractor because of his “bedside manner.” Makes me also think he’d have no problem selling me the Brooklyn Bridge.

Tony was very helpful from start to finish. He stuck with his written estimate and his people did all of the work we had hired them to do. All of his people were personable and professional. There were many steps to the remodeling we wished executed, and his people followed through on each step. We are very happy with the workmanship and will use this company again when we undertake the next phase of our remodel.

Nexxus installed four new vinyl windows and two new pre-hung doors. They also installed new hardwood flooring in my living room and dining rooms, and new carpet in my family room and hallway. New moldings were installed in all of these rooms. Interior and exterior painting was also performed.
Description of Work:
I had hired and paid a top-dollar, high-end custom kitchen design and remodeling firm to give me a new kitchen. After a few months they stopped all contact with me, after only demolishing my old kitchen and roughing in some electrical work. They went bankrupt and I lost all my money. I then found Nexxus and Tony on Angie’s List as being the highest rated in the area. I contacted them and they immediately came out, gave me an estimate and I hired them on the spot due to their professionalism and no BS attitudes. They began work right away and hand-held me throughout the process of design and selecting options. In remodeling my kitchen, they provided custom cabinets, upgraded electrical service, installed custom lighting, custom capstone countertops and backsplashes, and they installed the new appliances. They corrected work started by the prior contractor including interior painting, drywall repair, custom mouldings, other carpentry, and upgraded the plumbing. They also installed a new glass pocket door which I love. Overall, Tony’s management and care of my project, plus his team of top-notch, professional engineers and tradesmen made my project turn from a nightmare into one of the best designed and most beautiful kitchens I could have ever imagined.
on the list and Tony was the only person who not only diagnosed the exact cause
Description of work:
We were having issues with water drainage on our balconies. I called a couple of the names
on the list and Tony was the only person who not only diagnosed the exact cause of excess water and explained it in the simplest and most intelligent manner, but he was also very ethical in explaining that our problem was actually a design flaw and not something that could be repaired without changing the completed design of our building. While I am disappointed
there isn’t a fix for our balcony/water issues, I am very grateful that Tony has such a high
level of expertise in diagnosing the problem and not trying to take advantage of the situation
by trying to sell us on a costly repair. I would highly recommend Tony to anyone because
he is smart and very ethical.
Description of work:
Nexxus remodeling performed the following services with quality , speed and total professionalism:
gutter replacement, exterior painting of whole house, stucco addition and repair, carpentry woodworking to repair /replace rotted out framing and fascia boards, added lighting /electrical,general framing and construction, added new roof.
basically, before I called Tony, the house was a total mess. The gutters were gone, the rafters were wet and rotting, and the roof was pooling and leaking. Tony was responsive and worked within my budget, and togthere we came up with a plan to replace the roof, and do wood repair/carpentry where necessary. They basically corrected all the mickey mouse crap the previous owners had done, so that by jobs end, the house was totally great looking, and ready for the next el nino.
Tony lied numerous times and cut corners when her thought I wouldn’t notice. He skirted contractor law regarding deposits by saying it was for materials. Description of Work: Replaced windows and doors.
Description of Work:
Replaced french doors leading to our backyard, installed trim, painted interior and exterior.
Description of Work:
We had to replace the windows on one side of our house, restucco portions of the wall, build a housing surrounding a heating system, and paint the front and side of the house.
The roof had to be completely removed. Again, they gave us a very fair price and were ready to get started immediately. We didn’t have to worry about getting permits etc, Tony took care of everything! Although he had a large crew working on our home, Tony stopped by each day to make sure all was going well. During one of his visits he noticed that one of our windows was in great need of repair. (It was a sad window) Tony actually had one of his crew members, Francisco build us a new one. He is AWESOME! Francisco custome built a wood 8 pane window on site, installed it, painted it inside and out!!!!! It is the most beautiful window and it fits into the 1925 English Tutor style. It looks like it was an orginal window. Our roof came out beautiful, we couldn’t be happier. They removed all the debri, removed ugly old gutters that were there, and made us very happy customers.
We will definately refer this company to our friends and family. Their skills are remarkable in so many areas. Of course we will call them back again when the occasion arises. Thank you Nexxus, thank you Tony!!!
Description of Work:

Repaired ceiling with drywall
Cleaned up and removed debri
Built a custom wood 8 pane window on site
Painted the window, inside and out
Removed roof completely
Put on a new roof

They did a great job, as usual. Love these guys. They do the job right, but it does come at a cost. The initial estimate to paint my kitchen was about $700, but then they looked at the ceiling and realized it had oil based paint and had to completely strip it. Cost was higher than expected, $1400, but it was worth it. They did drywall patching, sanding, priming and interior paint. I would definitely recommend Nexxus. They are professional, friendly and very good at what they do.
Description of Work:
Replaced 3 windows.
Custom stained the wood inside and custom painted the fiberglass outside. Matched the Behr color swatch precisely.
Was professional and helfpul with providing an estimate. Description of Work: Estimate
Description of Work:
Estimate to remodel 2 bathrooms.
Description of Work:
Over the phone ballpark estimate to paint and touch up exterior and interior of house.
Description of Work: Quote a redwood fence.
Tony and his crew ended up doing the following: Sandblast all stucco on our main house and the two-story guest house, putting on new stucco, painting the exterior walls, and painting all exterior windows, gates, doors, fascia, etc. This also included re-framing windows which had some unpleasant looking vinyl frames around the original frames, removing and replacing outside lights, taking the gutters on and off, taking off old pipes and electrical wires, and doing some plumbing upgrades.
More importantly for us, though, we did not need to take care of anything ? Tony gave us a fixed price and promised to deliver a house within about a month that looked like new. And so he did! I should also mention that he was extremely patient (I am a worrier and asked a lot of questions since we had some bad experiences with contractors in the past), came every day to the
job to make sure everything was done well, was always available (as in answering the phone or calling me back within 5 minutes, including evenings and weekends). And did I mention he fixed the windows after we decided we want the vinyl off (based on his advice) without an extra charge?
Tony had some great crews, friendly, polite, professional, and punctual as well. His man-for-everything, Francisco, came often, and took care of all the unfinished details, big and small. The sandblasting was very noisy and dusty, but the sandblasting and the stucco crews took great care to clean up our and our neighbors? yards and houses. The painter brothers, Dave and Wayne, did a great job as you can see from the pictures.
So, in summary: great quality work, done on time and budget, by a professional and friendly Tony and his crew. We could not be happier with the results.
Update: We needed to have a trellis installed and called Tony – he sent over Francisco and Panchito, who did the job quickly and very well, at a small charge. I was happy he helped us with such a small job! Tony also sent over his painter crew to patch up the exterior paint that had received some damage from the landscapers – at no charge. As you can imagine, we are happy customers. Everything looks great.

Time and again, every GC or his firm bid representative would down play the challenges ahead, giving my wife and me an entirely unrealistic low bid proposal with the caveat that ?we would sort out the additional costs in the end.? They all seemed more concerned with what other firms I was speaking with and subsequently bad-mouthing and low-balling their competitors offers. Furthermore, they all called incessantly after the first meeting despite my repeated pleas of ?not interested.? The only exception to this sad re-occurrence was Tony at Nexxus.
While Tony may look more the part of a ?50s hot rodder than a general contractor, don?t let looks deceive you. On his initial visit, Tony did not try to pitch me on Nexxus from the get go; rather, he listened to my vision and then proceeded to walk with me (room by room) for over 2 hours, detailing his thoughts as well as the perceived challenges he thought may lay ahead. Additionally, he did not care to ask who I?d spoken with previously, nor did he try to give me an offer immediately upon finishing our long tour. Instead, we sat down and discussed things in detail, and agreed upon a preliminary per sq/ft cost proposal. Tony was the only contractor willing to do this?to agree to a completed vision on a per sq/ft basis, regardless of the unforeseen problems ahead of us. Sure, it wasn?t the cheapest offer by a long shot, but it was the only offer that was plausible, without hidden costs, and borne out by Tony?s thorough demonstration of his building knowledge and past experiences with similar structures. Two additional meetings and an 18-page contract later, we began an epic yearlong journey with Tony and his team at Nexxus. It was the best decision my wife and I ever made.
The Project:
I detailed much of the work in the section above, so I?d like to speak to what it?s like working with Tony and his crew at Nexxus. We all come across the horror stories associated with contractors, and reading countless reviews on-line only heightens the apprehension involved in finally committing to one. Granted, there is a continual give-and-take with your GC, and it something that you want (albeit, there are days you?d rather be left alone). Signing the dotted line with Tony was the equivalent of entering a close-knit relationship overnight. There wasn?t a day that passed where one of us didn?t call each other. Even when Tony?s not available, he?s available?he returns calls from out of country if need be.
On every aspect of the project, Tony consulted us multiple times. When questions came up, he phoned us immediately. If some unforeseen challenge required a change in direction, he contacted us before going ahead. His entire mission is making sure you are happy with the finished product. When things did not pan out or look like my wife and I wanted, we always had a discussion about it. No detail was too small or insignificant for Tony. We never got into fights or yelling matches. Tony would come over at night, and we?d walk through our issues together. There would be a give and take for several minutes and we always came to an agreed upon solution that satisfied all parties involved. Most of the time, Tony himself would catch something he didn?t like and make his crew rip it out and start over; knowing full well that every time he did that, he was losing money on his end. It speaks volumes about Tony?s character and his pride of workmanship. He will not put his name on an inferior product.
The Final Product:
We waited 6 months to place a review because we wanted to see whether all aspects of Tony?s work stood the test of time. Needless to say, they did! We have not had a single issue or problem in the months since completing the remodel. If we had, they would have been resolved already as Tony has called several times to check-in with us and see how we were doing. As I noted in the section above, he even sent his crew over (free of charge) to touch up paint and adjust some fixtures after we had moved in and dinged up a few walls.
In conclusion, I can?t say enough good things about Tony and his crew at Nexxus. A huge remodel is a stressful, foreboding undertaking, and I can?t imagine having made it through to the other side without Tony. Sure, he won?t be the cheapest bid out there, nor will he try to be. You get what you pay for in this industry, and if you want top-notch, high-quality work and customer service, then you shouldn?t look any further Nexxus. Tony and his team continually exceeded our expectations, going above and beyond the letter of the contract to make sure things were just right and to our liking. Lastly, if you?re considering Nexxus for a remodel of an older home/duplex, my wife and I would be happy to show you around with Tony on hand. We wouldn?t normally open our home to strangers, but we are eternally grateful to Tony, and we owe him as much for all he did for us. Going with Nexxus will be the best decision you ever made. Guaranteed.

Inspections: Tony and his team at Nexxus always made sure that a supervisor was present when a city inspector came through, and at no point was our massive duplex remodel ever slowed or stalled due to code non-compliance or shoddy workmanship. We never encountered even the slightest hiccup when it came to being in compliance with the different inspectors that showed up to the job site. Having worked in Los Angeles for years, Tony knows the inspectors that show up to his site, and when you see them interact, it becomes plainly obvious that there is a level of respect and camaraderie present that one would be hard pressed to find elsewhere in this field.
I started looking everywhere and signed up on Angie’s List and researched for a while. A few placed seemed legit, but none had the constant positive reviews that Tony at Nexus Remodeling had. I watched all the very informational videos on his website and also looked him up on Yelp. I found that that the only negative reviews were from people who hadn’t used him because they thought he was too expensive (how can you review someone if you haven’t used his services). The people who wrote positive reviews would mentioned the higher quote but they always, without exemption, said that it was worth every penny. My review will be one of those.
I called Tony and left a message. He called me back within the hour and came by as soon as he could. We walked through the house, I showed him everything. Tony was extremely friendly and had some really great and creative ideas about the Juliet Balcony and the stucco. He gave me an estimate in minutes of $20,000 ($25,000 using elastomeric paint) and that the work would take three weeks. At first I was a bit taken aback by the fact that it wasn’t a detailed and typed estimate breaking everything down. Tony told me that he didn’t work like that, but he assured me that there wouldn’t be any surprise additional cost whatever happened (unless I decided to add work of course) and that he would stay within the three week time frame.
After requesting quotes from other contractors, it took me almost two weeks to make my decision and I was expecting to get calls from Tony pressuring me to go forward with the job, but he never acted as a salesman and was always very gracious, understanding that it was a big expenses and that he wanted to be sure that I was 100% to go forward. I knew in my gut that I could trust him and his work. So I called him and told him I accepted his offer.
The day they started, Tony introduced me to Abraham who was gonna his lead guy. Abraham and his team were also very respectful as well as very talented at his job.
Tony came by everyday and had a great eye for detail. He always had my interest in mind and if anything was a bit off, he had it fixed right away.
I needed to add some indoor painting to what we had already agreed to and Tony very kindly worked with my budget and gave me a great discount on the additional work.
Everything was done perfectly in the timeline he gave me and I know that any fix up that needs to happen, I can call him and his crew will be over in no time.
I highly recommend Tony and his team for their trustworthiness, knowledge and craftsmanship.
All my neighbors were truly impressed with the work and two of them asked me for his contact info.
Tony is now my go to guy.

They were an incredible help to me today. While they weren’t right for me on the commercial side for our first store we are trying to open (they only do residential), Tony was willing to advise me and refer me to the right people.
These guys are good. Ran into them at a North Hollywood, CA jobsite in Culver City ,CA (ima carpenter and installer ..by the way). I didn’t talk much to Carlos, but did meet his crew. pretty cool guys.
I was in need of a roof for my house & garage. Tony & his crew came through and performed the work professionally/timely. I could not be happier with my new doors and cool roof. It does seem to help with keeping the temperature down…
